Coral Strand Smart Choice - Beau Vallon (Mahe)

The hotel is at an excellent location, right by the magnificent beach. The facilities such as wifi, hospitality were also good and the staff very helpful and friendly. The price was fair.

The waiters at the Ocean Deck Restaurant were very slow, especially on Christmas Day and even getting a menu was a problem. We had to call the Manager and it was only at this point that we got served. That was rather disappointing.

It's a great location. Responsive staff... We loved it.

This is a special 4-star hotel with its good service and wonderful rooms. What a fine stay, nothing too much trouble.

Location, food, view, infrastructure

I liked it.

View was spectacular, breakfast was hearty, and beds were comfortable. I had breakfast in the restaurant. The hotel was in a central setting on tropical islands. Besides, it was so close to the Beau Vallon Beach which is a great, a good restaurant and Ferry / Victoria.

The hotel is right on the beach and is well positioned for the sun through- out the day. There are various dive shops in the area and a coral area suitable for diving at the far end of the beach.

The restraurant staff could have been a little more attentive and the bar did not open to late in the morning, around 11 A.M. It was mentioned that the hotel was in a 'warm-up' period ready for the busy season and that some facilities may not be up-to-speed.

View was good.

The reception staff including guest relation manger were not helpful.

Staff overwhelmed, services tends to be too slow at times.

The proximity to the beach.

The room doesn't have any amenities,the Internet on the tv doesn't even work,the wireless Internet only works by the swimming pool plus very slow. The half board menu they offer its the same menu through out the week except on Sunday,the staffs are not even professionals and luck friendly approach with guests, the rooms by the beach 3 of them are very noisy because of thin walling material used, all in all I regret that I spent that much money for 3nights in a hotel doesn't even provided us with the very basic things you will get from any other hotel on the island, Mahe is beautiful and have a lot of hotels which offer so many services to guests as per your pocket but not coral strand!!! Please Booked.net revise your deals with them as they don't have 2/3of what they say about their hotel! It will question your repetition in the future. Thank you

Located on a very nice beach. Some work still being done on the hotel compound so no parking, even though it was stated there was parking. Good internet access in my room. Excellent breakfast buffet, not just a continental breakfast. Fairly close to bus stop so accessible without having to rent a vehicle or taxi.

Satellite tv didn't work. They said it was a problem with the provider.

Cool drinks at outdoor bar, good service. Appetising food plus fairly friendly and extremely polite staff. Magnificent and stunning location, by the sea shore with a great view.

Great beach vibes!

All the staff were super friendly, especially Rameez at the reception who helped us a ton. The poolside snack bar had some decent bites, but the room was kinda cramped and had a weird smell. Still loved the location though!

The location was premium! It was right on the beach, close to many ammenities. The staff was wonderful at accomodating any needs you may have encountered. The breakfast buffet was good, but we were disappointed canned fruit was used instead of fresh fruit.

The hotel had partially reopened after renovations. There was no telehone or working t.v. in the room. No one bothered to mention that there would be limited things available. No one from the management contacted us in reply that had been sent with questions regarding our stay, I had to call the hotel. The email address given on the website was for the marketing department, not the reservations department.

I visited Coral Strand while my trip back home after visiting Praline Island to the airport. I had only one day to rest as well. This hotel was able to reach all my wishes. Fast check-in, nice room with an ocean view. Standard room isn't large, but light and clean. Room amentias: safe box, refrigerator, king size bed, flat tv, air conditioner, table, chair, flashlight. I was surprised to see tea and coffee facilities. Swimming- pool is compact, with deep side for those who can swim, and small separated part for children. On this site there are 2 showers. Beach begins straight after pool area. On the left side there are banana, jet- ski, parasailing and other water entertainment things. Food is great. During the day there was barbeque in the pool restaurant. Very tasty! For the dinner I went to try a-la carte. Carpaccio is fantastic! Seriously, delicious. In the evening there was live music at the Ocean Deck Pub - nice covers on the classic rock hits. I'd like to recommend this hotel for everybody: it's good enough as for single travelers like me, as for honeymooners.

Excellent location, great water sports

Service was not good. Staff at reception did not have adequate knowledge of seychelles and the hotel needs a proper concierge.
